If there is one thing I miss about Japan, it is the countryside. The rainy season in June brought waves of rolling green hills and blue skies dotted with clouds. The sound of running water cooed you to sleep at night and life seemed slow and sweet. There were hardly any obnoxious tourists and the local people were friendly and warm. For a moment, it was the Japan I had envisioned. See adventures below.
